Images on this site can be categorized as follows:
Official Artwork--
Artwork created or believed to have been created by Capcom itself. All
visitors are free to take and use these as they please for their personal
use. Placing these images on a web site of your own however is another
matter. While its true that this art is Capcom's and we have no right
to it, we do not want to see all our hard work stolen for the glorification
of another web site. Hard work can be qualified as hours and hours
of gathering, touching up, resizing, cutting out, etc., etc. We may not
have drawn these images ourselves, but we put a lot of time and energy
in bringing this grand collection together in high quality for our visitors.
When other people come in and grab any images they want for their own
sites (which has happened on several occasions), it's really like theft.
In many cases Legends Station is the first and only site to have some
of these images, and suddenly they appear all over the Internet, with
no credit given. We do the work, every other site reaps the rewards. Not
fair. In response to this, I'm afraid we have had to watermark many of
our images (we used to trust everyone) with the MMLS mark. This downgrades
the beauty of the picture but there is no other way to prevent image theft
(we can't stop them from stealing them, but we can stop them from claiming
them as their own). We don't mind sharing if credit is given to Legends
Station, but it just wasn't working out that way.
Screen Captures-- Images taken of the actual game as it appears
during play. These screens are marked with the MMLS watermark. They took
hours and hours to produce, and they are not to be used on any other site
without permission from the Legends Station webmaster.
Sprite Artwork-- This is what is made when a character or object
is cut out of a screen capture. The result is a picture that looks exactly
as it does on the game itself. The amount of work that went into the sprites
on this site was tremendous. It was a grueling job and took many, many
hours. So before you go saving everything and putting it on your own site,
give a thought to the person who made them, and please remember to give
Mega Man Legends Station the credit.
Fan Artwork-- This is artwork which has been
created by fans of this site and has been sent in to be displayed in the
Fan Art Section. These images are still property of their respective owners
and may not be altered or taken for any use unless permission is given
by the respective owner(s). If the creator's e-mail address is not shown,
contact the MMLS webmaster and he can get in contact with the artist if
necessary.
