Just Another Notch In My Buster Gun

Chapter 2 - Robot, Vampire, or Both?

Megaman stared deep into the dark depths of Sayre's buster gun but quickly reacted and dove to the side as a blast fired from the barrel of the red buster arm. He could feel the tips of his hair being singed by the shot and wishing he had his helmet on. But now was not the time to be thinking of fashion as megaman rolled to his feet, he lifted his buster to quick-aim and fire but before he could shoot, he sayre fired another shot and nailed megaman right in the chest sending him backwards a few meters.

Megaman lay there with the wind knocked out of him, his mind kept screaming get up, GET UP! He sprang to his feet and saw sayre trying to wait for his buster to cool down by sticking it the snow. Megaman yelled, "Hey!" Sayre looked up and saw megaman fire his buster but before it could hit him, a flash of red and the shot missed. Megaman stood in awe as he couldn't comprehend how that shot was dodged. Quickly glancing around, he couldn't see sayre until, he heard a chuckling from behind him. Megaman spun around and looked up as sayre stood on a large rock laughing. "You think that little out-of-date toy could bring me down." Sayre couldn't keep a straight face as he spoke. After that he sprung off the rock and landed just a little ways away from megaman.

Raising his hand, sayre shot a long metal tentacle with a bulbed end which shot quickly out and wrapped itself around megaman in a flash and squeezed him tightly with the bulbed end a foot from his face. Megaman light-heartedly said, "If you're a vampire, why don't you have pointed teeth?" Sayre looked up with a look of being humorously offended, "I am not a vampire of modern stories. I am the servant of mother and in fact only a few steps down. So with my own means of power, I have my own means of absorbing the energy of my prey!"

The bulb at the end of the tentacle began to twitch and suddenly opened into a flat surface with three little holes that suddenly three long needles protruding. The tentacle began to move and sway like a large snake about to strike. Megaman saw this and began to laugh nervously, "uh, uh, you're not going to use those...are you?" but of course megaman knew the answer to it...
