The Japanese name for the Colossus translates into "Ancient God Image." This gigantic machine built in human-shape lacks the ability to move on its own, but by using the Golden Refractor the Colossus can be powered up and controlled from within the head.

The head being the Colossus's weak point, it keeps an indestructible force field that blocks all attacks. This shield and the Colossus itself will be powered down however should the sixteen energy pylons positioned in various places around the Colossus be destroyed. In such an instance, the head can detach and battle on its own.

The Colossus's attacks include beams and blasts of varying intensity fired from the mouth, a shockwave created when the head stomps the ground, and columns of fire which rise from below.
