Merry Christmas Everyone!

2005-12-25 - Posted by fAB
A very Merry Christmas to you all! Just wanted to let everyone know that Legends Station will be up and running again before long. Also, I'd like to give a big thanks to some of the talented artists of the community for providing the great holiday images featured on the site this past week. Eric Chiz, car2oon, AimMan.EXE and mltmlt22, they've been great!

MMLS, Bidding You A Fond Farewell...

2005-09-01 - Posted by fAB
...For now anyway. This will probably come as a surprise and a disappointment to you all, but I'm afraid I'll be "shutting down" Legends Station for awhile. Don't worry, it's not going offline or anything, it will still be here as it has been. Simply put, I just need to take a break from it (and much of my online life in general) which means no more updates, and that includes anything in the way of fan submissions. I would greatly appreciate it if all fan artists and fictionists would hold off on sending anything in to the site--if you do, it will merely be placed in some dark corner of my inbox to be forgotten, so why bother, yes? If you're really eager to share your Legends fan works with the world, I would recommend you post it in the Forums. There's a whole area set aside for fans to share their creations, and there's almost always at least a few people who will drop a comment on your work.

If you're wondering how long this hiatus will last, I honestly don't know. I'd say don't expect to find anything new here for at least a good 3 months, though it may be even longer. To all Legends Station affiliates, I apologize in advance for this. If I'm gone too long for your liking, there won't be any hard feelings if MMLS is dropped from your affiliates list, though I'd certainly hope that won't be the case, as I've stuck with many of you through your slow periods and downtime.

I do not intend to disappear completely however, I'll still be around. If anyone has an urgent need to talk to me, they should head to the Contact Page and drop me a line. Label e-mail subjects as "MMLS Important" so I can distinguish them from all other incoming e-mail. If anyone who knows me personally wants to read more on why I've decided to do this, I will be posting a more in-depth explanation on the forums sometime within the next few days.

Fan Submissions AGAIN

2005-08-29 - Posted by fAB
For some reason, August seemed to bring on quite a wave of new Legends artwork. Not to make it sound like a bad thing, heck no! Added today are 3 new pieces from AimManEXE, 5 from Dash Myoku, 1 from Voulnutt, and 4 from Dashe (as well as the start of her new fic, Where Are They Now?). It's always nice to see the fans continually showing their love for the series!

Fan Art Now Up To Date As Well

2005-08-05 - Posted by fAB
I figured it would be a good idea to bring the fan art together as well, so as not to fall behind again. Today's update adds 10 new pieces of Legends art to the gallery. Submitting artists this time around are Bryan Muñoz (1), Dashe (1), TIESEL BONNE (5), and myself (3). Enjoy!

Caught Up On Fan Fiction

2005-08-04 - Posted by fAB
Fortunately for me, the huge amount of remaining fan fiction was made up largely of repeated sends, so things turned out much easier than expected.
David Hurst presents us with his fic, Eden Crisis, and already has a whoppin' 16 chapters written.
Vicki Morales brings in three all new stories, totalling 4 chapters.

That makes a total of 20 new pages waiting to be read, for all the fan fiction enthusiasts out there. This is also a momentous occasion, seeing as I am finally caught up on all fic submissions for the first time in over 9 months!

Catching Up On Fan Fiction

The large stack of fan fiction which has been awaiting my attention, has finally had another chunk taken out of it today. If you'd care to take a look at the new material, check out the following:
DuoGTL2 has sent in his two latest chapters of The New Team
MMFreak has added another chapter to The Chronicles of Trigger and Roll
Omega Trigger starts out a new story, called Legends Eternity
Vicki Morales submitted a 10 chapter story entitled Little Boy Blue

Catching Up On Namco X Capcom

2005-07-18 - Posted by fAB
Dang, just two days earlier and no one could have said that I hadn't updated in over a month! Oh well, I've had less of an Internet presence lately and there are a lot of things to catch up on. This update is actually all thanks to SuperDanny of MegaMan Legends Universe, one of the few members in the community who imported Namco X Capcom!

As some of you may know, it seems that NxC will not be seeing a North American release, though there is a petition which many of us are hoping will change the companies' minds. We'll keep hoping, but in the meantime we need to enjoy every bit of DASH goodness the game has to offer. Thanks to SuperDanny we have these screenshots, as well as a voice clip of the exchange between Juno and the others!

Rockman DASH Revival!

2005-06-17 - Posted by fAB
Various sites have been reporting lately on the confirmation of DASH for PSP, as well as the more recent news that DASH 2 would also be making its way to the portable system, and only a month after the original! This has been fantastic news of course, but the real excitement has finally arrived now that Capcom of Japan has created spaces on its website for these two games. Check them out, it's a beautiful sight!

Legends Goes Portable

2005-06-05 - Posted by fAB
Planet Mega Man is reporting another potential glimpse of Legends love. According to this site, Rockman DASH could be coming to the PSP in August. Assuming this info to be true and that we'll hear a confirmed statement from Capcom soon, then it's a great day for Legends fans! Even if you don't own a PSP or already own 6 different variations of the game like I do, it's still nice to know that (if this indeed proves true) Legends is getting some more attention at last. A direct port of the original? Upgraded? We'll just have to wait and see...

Artistic Talents On Display

2005-05-20 - Posted by fAB
Sorry, couldn't think of a better title. The other option was "New Fan Art", which may have in fact been a better choice, but oh well. The point is, we've got artwork from Buster Cannon, David Hurst, PollyMonk, and Santarello, all of whom are displaying their Legends fan art on the site for the first time. Additionally we have two new pieces by long time member, Dia Aren Marie. Be sure to take a look!

Thank you all for helping the MMLS Fan Art section continue to grow into a wonderful gallery of collective works!

Another Namco x Capcom Video

2005-05-18 - Posted by fAB
Namco X Capcom has a new video out. As usual, the small bit of Legends goodness doesn't amount to much, but it's worth the download all the same!

As of posting this, Mega Man Legends Station seems to be the first in the immediate MM community to report this! That's rather exciting for a change. A big thanks to GustaffGlyde for the heads up!

A Few More Fics

2005-05-10 - Posted by fAB
We've managed to make a few more additions to the ever-growing Fan Fiction section. There's still plenty more, but every little bit helps. Today's all new works come from Blizrun, Crazy Nutso and XBlade, while Quick Cheetah has delivered the final chapters of Illogical! Happy reading!

The Latest Batch Of Captions

2005-05-09 - Posted by fAB
Captions have been added for Images 21 - 35. Regular visitors know the routine by now. These come from the forums, where the brilliant minds of our members battle it out weekly in the Caption Contest! Enjoy the hilarity! We'll have the next bunch of new fan fics out tomorrow.

On a side note, MMLS wishes a very happy birthday to SuperDanny! Webmaster of MLU, caption judge, awesome Legends fan, and a good friend!

Art Contest Update/Reminder

2005-05-08 - Posted by fAB
Two months ago, we posted a notice about an art contest being held over at Planet Mega Man. The contest's original closing date was to be today, but it has since been extended yet another month. June 8th is the deadline, so I just thought I'd remind everyone out there who might be interested in participating. You have one whole month from today.

This is a Legends-centric contest, and while there have been a good many entries, I don't recall seeing many (if any) of those entries coming from our neck of the woods. Yet I know a good many telented artists here in our community. I realize that I myself have yet to submit an entry, but I do have my entry in progress with full intentions of completion by June 8th. Come on people, join in and let's show some Legends series support!

Fan Fiction Finally

2005-05-04 - Posted by fAB
Reaching months back into my piled up e-mails, I have begun to pull out numerous pieces of awaiting Fan Fiction. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the writers have forgotten they even sent them in, but nevertheless here they are! New works are now in place by Alex, Jarald Jameson, Maolvolf, Pang, and X Dome, all of whom are new fictionists (new term, I like it) to the site. Also, two new stories by Vicki Morales.

If fan fiction is your thing, enjoy, and look forward to much more before long. From my perspective, it feels like this batch is merely the tip of the iceberg!

Tidying Up A Bit

2005-04-29 - Posted by fAB
As opposed to the last update, today the "M" stands for both Miscellaneous and Multiple! Exciting, eh? No, didn't think so... Anyway, now that The Main Gate is up to snuff, it's time to get Legends Station back in order.

1. The Links page has dumped two sites no longer in existence, and added two new Legends sites in their place! Check out The Gesellschaft and Edin Crisis, both of which popped up on the web fairly recently. It's great to see new Legends sites arise!

2. Buster Cannon has sent in a boss guide for MML1, as well as an updated version of his MML2 boss guide.

3. The Namco x Capcom page has been updated with the all of the recent screens and such that have come out.

4. I've finally begun answering months worth of piled up e-mails. I'm down to 1 affiliation request, and 26 fan submissions of various kinds.

Obviously, that means fan updates are coming soon. I hope you look forward to them!

Raising TMG Awareness

2005-04-27 - Posted by fAB
Usually the "M" indicates a Miscellaneous or Multiple updates, but just this once, let's be daring and bend the rules a bit. Today the "M" stands for the Main Gate! For those of you who aren't familiar with it, The Main Gate is a sub-site for Mega Man Legends Station. Click here to check it out.

As I'm sure every regular visitor has noticed, things have been slow around here, and everyone who has sent an e-mail in to the site knows I'm months behind and need to catch up desperately. What's been eating my time so greatly? Why, The Main Gate of course! So, that's why I thought it was worth putting it in the spot light for a moment. Check out the latest updates on TMG's home page to see what I, and the rest of TMG staff have been up to!

New From Namco x Capcom

2005-04-15 - Posted by fAB
Game Watch has some new visual excitement for Legends fans who are following the Namco x Capcom progress (and what Legends fan isn't?)! Click here to check out the latest from them. Not all of it's Legends of course, and not all of it's new, but it's most definitely worth your while. We now see the grand Gesellschaft, a close up artwork of Juno, Rock and Roll practically front and center on the game's box art, and much more! Thanks goes to forum member GustaffGlyde for alerting me of this new material!

Edit: I will add the latest images to the site when I get a good chance. Things have been dead around here lately because (aside from my computer dying) I've been hard at work in other areas. More on that soon.

Full Namco x Capcom Video Now Available!

2005-04-01 - Posted by fAB
It's always nice to start a new month off with good news, and that's just what we're gonna do! Rather than play some stupid April Fools joke (I tried one already and it didn't turn out well), we're now making available the recent Namco x Capcom video which many people have had trouble getting their hands on. Normally my Internet connection would make this impossible, but thanks to the brain of the Legends community's most awesome guy, we've worked it out! Who? Why, SuperDanny of course, of MLU fame. Thank him for this, he made it all possible!

Download it now! ( 20.3MB )

Follow Up To Yesterday - Namco x Capcom Page Added

2005-03-31 - Posted by fAB
Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to watch the new Namco x Capcom video until late last night, and now is the first good chance I've had to act on the news. We now have enough substance that a new Namco x Capcom page has been added to the Other Games area of the site. The known information is now in place, and so are 20 screens showing the Legends-relevant parts of the NxC trailer. Also, if you weren't interested enough to download the large video, or had a connection too slow to handle it, you can find a "little" Legends video clip we've put together using a number of screenshots. Enjoy!

Juno! That Makes 5!

2005-03-30 - Posted by fAB
We now know that MegaMan Juno will be appearing in Namco x Capcom, seemingly as a boss! Head on over to Planet Mega Man for the full scoop regarding this news, and for a link to the game trailer that shows it. *curses his slow Internet connection*

The Interactive Story Continues - Parts 9 & 10

2005-03-15 - Posted by fAB
I've been sick and am still not up to the massive task of sorting through the piles of fan fictions that are waiting to be added to the site. However, I thought I'd warm up for the task by dealing with the Interactive Story first, which was also behind on updates. So many submissions were entered that I felt it necessary to select not just one but two new parts to add on. So, if you like the Interactive Story, follow the link and enjoy the latest additions!

As always, thanks to the contributors, and I'd like to encourage those whose parts were not chosen, to try again on the next round!

Legends Art Contest

2005-03-09 - Posted by fAB
We've been contemplating the idea of holding another art contest here sometime, but it just so happens there's another that might be of interest. As many of you know, one of the more recent arrivals at the forums is Gren, of Planet Mega Man fame. Well, there's an art contest taking place over that way. Click here to see what it's all about.

I will most certainly be participating. As Gren says, "This contest is partly about increasing Legends awareness. And Partly about... Uhm... Well. More... Legends... Awareness. XD" For that reason alone, I urge everyone to at least consider participating, regardless of your level/lack of artistic talent. If the visitors of Mega Man Legends Station can't be counted on to help make that contest a success and increase Legends awareness, how can we expect anyone else to?

Attention, Female Legends Fans!

2005-03-08 - Posted by fAB
This isn't really an update, but rather a notice. As many of you know, MMLS's sub-site, The Main Gate, recently added to its presence with the addition of the 3D fan game project, Megaman Legends EXpansion. Normally we let The Main Gate keep its business to itself, but something has come up which will hopefully benefit from taking advantage of MMLS's higher traffic volume.

The Megaman Legends EXpanion project has been gathering voice actors and actresses for the game for some time, yet after filling nearly every slot, one very important position remains open: Roll Casket! Obviously a major character in the series, it is essential to find a proper voice actress for Roll. If you think you sound like Roll, or can alter your voice to come up with a decent impersonation, please record a voice sample and send it to JMC47.

Welcome, Rockman TV!

2005-02-25 - Posted by fAB
It's been quite some since we've gained a new affiliate, but today Mega Man Legends Station is proud to announce the latest addition, Rockman TV. This site is an awesome resource of Rockman/MegaMan videos, covering just about everything you can imagine! Of particular interest to visitors of this site, is their recent Legends Project. They are very close to reaching their goal of uploading every cut scene video from Mega Man Legends! I have downloaded a few of them myself and the quality is superb. Be sure to pay them a visit!

Forum Fun

2005-02-15 - Posted by fAB
Mega Man Legends Station recently celebrated turning 2 years old, and today the MMLS Forums are celebrating their first year of existence! Some comments and a few new additions have been added, which forum members may want to read about. Thanks to all the members for making it a great place. Legends Station creates it, you all bring it to life!

On a side note, we've been quietly making changes to the site to help with loading times, compatibility problems, and search engine results. Let's hope they're noticeable... Also, I'm aware that we're waaay behind on fan submissions, and apologize to all of the submitters who have been patiently waiting to see their latest work on the site.

New Namco x Capcom Developments

2005-02-13 - Posted by fAB
Well if the announcement of Trigger's and Roll's presence in the upcoming Namco x Capcom wasn't enough to convince you that you had to have the game, just try to resist now that Tron and the Kobun(s) are confirmed as well! That makes four of our beloved Legends series characters so far!

Heard it through the grape vine from Planet Mega Man from Game Spot.

Mega Man Legends Station Turns Two!

2005-02-08 - Posted by fAB
Hard to believe, Legends Station has already been around two full years as of today! Then again, in a way it feels like it's been around for an eternity. So it goes. I tried and tried to come up with some big way to celebrate the occasion, but nothing came to me. Still, I couldn't let the day pass without some sort of recognition, so I've managed to pull together a number of little updates that give the illusion that something big went down today!

Mega Man Legends Sprites have been added! An all new section, featuring little icons of the 2D variety.
A previously overlooked hunk of floating junk has been added to the MM Legends Bonne Machines section.
Mega Man Legends 2 Credits have been added to the site, in a similar fashion to the Misadventures of Tron Bonne credits.
A new image from Battle Network 3 has been added in the Other Games area of the site.

That about wraps it up! I should probably write out a big paragraph about what a wonderful year it's been and all that mumbo-jumbo, but since I did something like that around the new year, and since I'm not feeling particularly inspired, you're all spared my boring commentary! Feel free to check out my comments from a year ago, if you're interested in observing the site's history on its birthday.

Trigger And Roll Make An Appearance!

2005-01-29 - Posted by fAB
We Legends-starved fans can now celebrate a small victory, as we see two of our beloved series's characters show up in a recent news flash. It seems Namco and Capcom are teaming up to create a simulation RPG game for PS2, known as Namco x Capcom. Piles of characters from both companies are going to be making appearances, and it seems safe to say that we can count Trigger and Roll as being among them.

Not only can we rejoice in the knowledge that Legends characters are going to appear in a game for the first time in years, but it shows yet again that Keiji Inafune (second from the left) has not forgotten this series. We can only hope that Legends 3 isn't too far off, but in the meantime let us be content with small blessings!

Episode One Returns

2005-01-16 - Posted by fAB
For those of you who aren't familiar with Rockman Dash 2 Episode One, it's the Japanese demo of Mega Man Legends 2, and came with Tron Ni Kobun, the Japanese Misadventures of Tron Bonne. Episode One features some awesome stuff that didn't make it to the final version of the game.

Mega Man Legends Station's previously made section for Episode One has been somewhat out of commission since the launch of Version 3, but at long last we've managed to pull it together properly. So if you haven't seen it, click the link and take a look! Even if you have seen it, click the link and take another look! If you're still too stubborn to take a look, we've added something new to the section that you won't want to miss, so click the link!

The new additions happen to be four new videos, captured from the game's cut scenes and awaiting your downloading! For the many out there who do not own the disc itself, this is a marvelous way to really see what you've been missing! Thanks to Tengo of the forums for suggesting we add these videos, and of course a huge thanks to Feldinaut, who as always, captured and supplied the videos themselves!

Happy New Year!

2005-01-01 - Posted by fAB
Welcome to 2005! Yesterday we gave the highlights on what made 2004 a great year for Mega Man Legends Station. Now we'd like to share with you just a few of the plans you can be looking forward to in the upcoming year...

Main Site:
+ We intend to check over our official art galleries for each game, replace low quality images with high quality wherever possible, and add a substantial amount of newly obtained artwork.
+ Audio & Video sections will be expanded, gotta love the media.
+ Scans will be added for each of the Japanese games' instruction booklets.
+ Screenshots sections will be redone from scratch, abandoning the 100 or so screens from each game in favor of an amount closer to 500.

Forums:
+ Proboards will soon be bringing forth Version 4, which will contain many new features. We plan to make full use of these features and enhance the feel of the forums.
+ By request from a number of members, we will be adding a Role Playing section to the forums.
+ We will be starting up the Official Polls again, after months of inactivity.

Extra:
+ Far more priority will be given to Legends Station's sub-site, The Main Gate. Be sure to check out TMG's update for today to see what it has in store for the future.
+ IF Mega Man Legends 3 should happen to be announced, you can be sure we'll keep you informed with all the info we can! ;)
