December was far too busy with Christmas and such for me to get much Legends time in, but here's one more update to V4 before the year comes to an end. The Mega Man Legends 2 Artwork page is now up and running. It's lost some pictures since the V3 days because some actually belonged in the MML1 gallery to begin with, but it's gained a few as well. Give it a glance, maybe you'll like what you see.

Today's update title comes from the Rockman DASH 2 Episode 1 Demo, a little message from Inafune at the end of it. Not only is it relevant to today's update, but I felt it had some relation to Legends Station in general. ;) Anyhow, the Episode 1 Demo pages have made their way to V4 with improved descriptions and additional screenshots in some cases.

Here's to another great day for Legends Station as it continues to undergo this seemingly endless transition to Version 4. As was decided recently, all efforts have been focused on finishing the MML1 section and all its pages, and this goal has now been accomplished! The final additions made this day include the Videos page with greatly beefed up content thanks to SuperDanny of MLU, the Cover Art page, and last but not least, the new Index page artwork which tops off the section with a proper portal.
It seems a good time to express my thanks to all of the supporters out there, friends and strangers alike, who steadily serve to remind me that all the work poured into Legends Station is being enjoyed by fans around the world. This is something a slaving webmaster tends to forget sometimes, so I do greatly appreciate it.

In what was probably a very predictable move, I have now brought the Mega Man Legends Bonne Machines over from V3 to V4 just as I did with the Characters the other day. Nothing exciting, just steady progress.

...as well as dogs, bureaucratic models, visitors, and plunderers. The newly V4-ized Mega Man Legends Characters section has the lot of them. The goal of the MML1 sections coming together and the ultimate dream of a finished Version 4 draw slowly but ever closer...

After a bit of a break, here's a new page detailing the different versions of Rockman DASH/Mega Man Legends. I'm thinking I ought to focus all my efforts on MML1 since I'm getting so close to filling in all of its sections. That'll be nice to have two of the games' content completed. Not too far to go!

Nothing major for today, but as the title indicates I've now taken care of the final two audio-related pages, MML2 Audio Clips & MML1 Midis. A quick glance at the Quick Map really gives the impression that V4 is slowly but surely nearing completion at last.

Here's another musical addition that should compliment the previous update well. It's the Mega Man Legends MP3 page, with music you can listen to instead of just read about. For the first time in awhile, Legends Station is pleased to bring back the tracks of the Rockman DASH Original Soundtrack for download, as well as an expanded collection of supplementary music not featured on the OST. Enjoy!

Says Tomozawa Makoto, music composer for Rockman DASH, in the liner notes of the original soundtrack, among other things. As you could probably guess, that's the addition for today, the Legends OST page has been added. New in the jump from V3 to V4 are said liner notes, all typed up. If you've never seen them then go take a look, there are some interesting comments from those involved with the game's sound and music aspects.

As I would hope everyone had guessed by the obvious title, I've added on the Midi Page for Legends 2. No major upgrades here, but there are a few new midis that have popped up in the time since I quit bothering to update V3. Have a listen if you like.

Today's update is one I'm fairly excited about. It's the Mega Man Legends Guide Page! Not that guides are particularly exciting things, nor are they particularly useful in most cases since this is such an easy game and all of us Legends fans know it like the back of our hands... Still, the section has been brought over to V4 and completely beefed up with an all new Special Weapons Guide and Ruin Maps. Both of these took far more work than anticipated, but I've finally made them as I've been picturing them since the very conception of this site. @_@ Yeah, I've been meaning to create them since the beginning and have now done so, therefore I'm fairly excited as I mentioned... If you're still not interested in having a look see, you should stop by the guides page simply to behold a great piece of artwork by mltmlt22.

It isn't often that this site gets to update with actual "news" news about the magnificent Legends series. Even when the chance does come, sometimes it escapes my attention for so long that it's not worth posting about anymore (as was the case some months back when 1up.com interviewed Keiji Inafune), simply because I don't expect any news so I don't go looking for it.
This time it's different though, I've caught word in a timely manner and am happy to help spread it to all Legends fans who visit here but may not visit the non-Legends Mega Man sites where this news has surfaced. A new Rockman DASH game has been announced!
Japanese: ロックマンDASH 5つの島の大冒険!
Romaji: Rockman DASH 5-tsu Shima no Daibouken!
Translation: Rockman DASH Big 5-Island Adventure!
The release date is January 2008, but before you jump too high for joy, know that this game will be coming only to Japanese NTT Docomo cell phones... As incredibly disappointing as that is, as Legends fans we know that ANY whisper of our beloved series has to be a good thing. This is a bit more than a mere whisper however, so here's hoping for that ever elusive sign of a true sequel.

Yes, yes, just as promised the Screenshots have arrived! If by chance you had entered the MML1 Screenshots page (previously accessible only from the MOTB Screenshots page's Related Links) within the past few days, you may have seen one gallery after another popping up as I completed and uploaded things as I went. Since you did not (tracking tells me nobody was so clever), prepare yourself for the massive all-at-once mind-numbing blow of nearly a thousand screenshots comin' at ya!
2007-09-07 - Posted by fAB
My, my, where did I disappear to? Not to worry. Despite the seeming lack of progress, a great deal of work has been going into upcoming updates, primarily the massive MML Screenshots gallery, which is soon to come but will not be ready by tomorrow as I had hoped. Bummer. As a consolation prize, please accept these sprites that were collected along the way. There's more 2D in this game than you may realize.

Sorry I missed yesterday in this lovely update lineup, but we can't have everything now can we? Nope, but we do have an update today, which is none other than an expanded version of the Rockman DASH Beta page, but which now includes other early development info and images as well.
On a side note, 'twas 3 years ago this day that MMLS went to V3. Remarkable how things have changed since then. Making the site was a lot more fun back then, and much less lonely. In the old days I used to talk to people about my work as I worked. Now I work in silence and don't even receive comments on the forums when I add stuff. *lsigh* Nevertheless I shall persevere!

Today's addition is the Mega Man Legends 2 Instruction Booklet scans, including the full color Rockman DASH 2 booklet which is so much sweeter than the black and white one we got here on our side of the world... Yeah, this is basically a repeat of yesterday but for Legends 2 instead of the original.

While putting together Legends 2's Cover Artwork and Various Releases pages, it really hits home how many different times and ways Capcom has put out and sold the Legends (or DASH more specifically) series over and over.

It's nothing much, but I anticipate not being able to add anything new for awhile, so I whipped up the Legends Audio Clips page. Pretty much a no-brainer, but any progress at all is still better than none.

If you've been with the site long enough, try thinking back to August of 2004. Doesn't it seem like a lifetime or two ago? It certainly does for me. Way back then was when MMLS Version 3 came along and was all the rage. Great as V3 was though, there were still things lacking at its launch, which I intended on taking care of but as it turns out I never got around to much of it. Perhaps that's why some people look at V4's advances with a gaping mouth, because some sections have been awaiting their upgrades since the V2 days.
One such section happens to be the Mega Man Legends Official Artwork Gallery. When V3 launched, its home page image was made using artwork which it seems nobody else in the community knew existed (indeed, I'm still surprised that apparently no one else has been adventurous enough to discover the source of it). I promised to make that artwork available when I redid the artwork gallery, but as mentioned in the above paragraph, that day never came in the lifespan of V3. Well, the wait is finally over, as V4 brings you that upgraded gallery at last. Head on in to see the full size Bruno and many others.

It's truly remarkable how long it can take to convert an already finished section from V3 into a V4 section. Example of said section is this Saturday's day-busting Mega Man Legends Reaverbots section which required some unanticipated upgrading in addition to the routine. Oh well, at least it's all out of the way now... Let's throw in the Voice Cast page as well, shall we?

My, my, it has been awhile, hasn't it? Such things happen though and I have to take my priorities as they come. Nevertheless I am sorry it's been such a long gap of nothing. I'm as eager as anyone to see V4 completed, believe me! Anyhow, today I bring you the Legends 2 Music - MP3 page and the Singles & OST page as well.

I've added another two pages to the Legends 2 section, Voice Cast and Ending Credits. Not much else to say there, I'll keep working and adding stuff as it comes.

Nothing like easing yourself into things. I figured I'd start with some pretty easy pages to get in place, the Story and Glossary pages for both Legends and Legends 2. Everything else is going to take a bit longer (or a lot longer) to prepare, but for now at least we can say that these two games do have viable pages!

In addition to a number of other obligations eating away at my time lately, there have been some major issues with V4 which have been hindering progress but I am happy to announce that solutions have been found and everything is considered up to snuff again—for now. As my schedule allows, I'm going to begin pouring my efforts into bringing in new content for V4 after a two month gap in noteworthy progress.

This may come as a surprise to some, but it's been a long time coming. As of tomorrow April 1st, the new month will begin with a new Station Master, Dashe, taking power over at Legends Station's forums. If you aren't a member, don't waste your time, but if you are and want more details, you can visit this thread.

The big day is here at last! Not only is this Legends Station's 4th birthday, but it's also the day when all the hype surrounding Version 4 comes to fruition!
On January 1st of 2006 I revealed my plans for V4 and made a promise to the Legends Station community that it would completely upgrade and transform the entire site. As life would have it, the schedule I set out to follow and the way things were meant to come together didn't turn out at all. Nevertheless I have pressed on, and at some point awhile back decided it would be more fun to hit everyone with a huge leap of progress rather than revealing things one new page at a time. That being the case, I poured an unprecidented amount of my time and energy into making today's update possible, which is none other than the unveiling of the Misadventures of Tron Bonne section in its entirety!
Yes indeed, all of the pages relating to the game are now in place and bursting with far more content than ever before. I'm not going to bother writing up a list of everything you should check out, because everything has been expanded and/or improved upon. If you'd like to read about the progression of things, you can skim through the updates I kept as I was working (but which were not made public until today). Otherwise, just have a look around the section itself and I hope you enjoy it thoroughly.
For those of you who have been eagerly anticipating V4, I hope this rebuilds your confidence in the site and that you can now see why all of this is taking such a long time to progress. From this point on, I intend to revert to the original plan of adding things as they are ready to be added, so please look forward to the continued growth of the all-new Legends Station!

Let's see, since the last time I bothered typing up my progress, I've added the MoTB music page, added two music tracks to the Namco x Capcom page, finally finished up the Battle Network page, and touched up a couple of other details around the site. Most importantly has been my project for the past four days, creating a piece of artwork to represent the Misadventures of Tron Bonne index page. This is the first of five pieces of self-made artwork which will be displayed on the site. Likewise there will also be one for each of the Legends and Legends 2 index pages, as well one for the home page and the banner, all yet to come. I can't recall if I've mentioned it before but while I'm on the subject, the site will also display artwork by mltmlt22 on each of the three games' Guides pages, as well as the Fan Art index page.
The decision to have custom made fan art images in prominent places will hopefully give the site more personality and visual appeal (since seeing the same official artwork used over and over again gets old), and actually goes back to the site's roots when I originally tried incorporating my artwork into the layout and such--though I had to dump that concept eventually as the site grew, until at last I believe my artistic skills have caught up... Anyhow, enough rambling, the site's birthday is getting close, just 5 days away!

There are several more pages left to create, but the last "major" frontier to conquer from the Misadventures of Tron Bonne is complete, the Bonne Machines section. As I was planning out the organization for said section, it occurred to me that the Bonne Machines in this game are rather different from those in the other two because they are yours to command instead of being enemies. This left a whole bunch of uncovered material, so I went the extra mile to create an additional page covering Glyde's robots, and another covering the police force, thus the enemies now have their proper coverage.
2007-01-20 - Posted by fAB
After some serious work the past two days, I'm extremely pleased to have finished up the all new Misadventures of Tron Bonne Reaverbot section! This isn't just a totally rebuilt section like most, this is entirely new for Version 4! Due to lack of names for most of the reavers in this game, this was once a section I thought impossible to compete, but with enough digging I eventually uncovered and confirmed the Japanese names, making it a reality.

It's been awhile since I made any mention of my progress here. Things were moving pretty slowly there for awhile, but today has seen the completion of the Misadventures Characters page, a nice addition to the march of progress. Though everything relating to Legends Station is way behind schedule, I'm going to set myself a new deadline for the Misadventures of Tron Bonne content--February 8th, on the site's birthday, everyone will at last be able to see why V4 rocks so much, and why it is taking so long as well...
